Our Mission

The Grief Hub exists to make grief less lonely by offering compassionate spaces for connection, community, and trusted support—on your terms, in your time.

Our Values

We believe in meeting each person in their grief with compassion, connection, and support.

Grief is not something to overcome.

It is part of loving and living, not a problem to solve or a process to complete.

There is no right way through grief.

We honor grief as personal, cyclical, and evolving—without stages or timelines.

Tending matters more than fixing.

Support means making space, offering care, and returning with compassion.

Connection eases isolation.

Being seen, heard, and witnessed matters.

Meet The Founder

I’m Nalda Seidman, the creator of The Grief Hub, a space dedicated to providing resources, support, and community for anyone navigating grief and loss. I’m also a Certified Grief Educator, trained by renowned grief expert David Kessler, and my work is rooted in both professional experience and lived reality.

In March 2023, I lost my son, Josh, when he was 20 years old. In the months that followed, I was struck by how isolating grief feels, even when surrounded by people who care. I longed for connection, understanding, and practical support. Out of that experience, The Grief Hub was born. I created it so no one would have to feel as isolated in their grief as I did.

My mission is to connect grievers with the vital resources, education, and compassionate community they need to survive loss and find their footing again. I believe grief deserves to be met with honesty, gentleness, and human connection, not timelines or platitudes.

Before founding The Grief Hub, I spent 18 years teaching English as a Second Language and hold a Master’s degree in Teaching English from The University of North Carolina. I also earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Manhattanville College and worked for seven years in international marketing and television sales. In this role I supported television stations throughout Latin America and Europe with promotional and marketing efforts for TV shows and live events, writing  press releases and creating ad concepts. These experiences have shaped my ability to create meaningful content that encourages participation and build communities where people safe to engage.

I was born in Ecuador and raised in New York. Five months after my son’s death, my husband and I left the United States to give ourselves the space to grieve, decompress, and process our loss. Since then, we’ve lived in Costa Rica, Spain, and Croatia, embracing a nomadic life while working remotely. We are now settling in Spain, which we consider our forever home.

Through The Grief Hub, I bring together grief education, lived experience, and strategic marketing and promotional expertise to amplify access to resources and support grievers wherever they are on their journey.
