Grief Support | Neuroscience, Mindfulness & Nervous System Support

Sylvia Wolfer is a neuroscience-informed grief support practitioner and mindfulness guide specialising in sudden loss, sibling loss and the long-term impact of bereavement on the nervous system, identity, and daily functioning.

After losing her father in childhood, her younger brother at seventeen, and later her older brother and mother, Sylvia’s work grew from a deeply personal search to understand why grief affects far more than emotion alone.

Her work focuses particularly on the often-overlooked ways grief can reduce a person’s capacity to participate fully in life. Many people continue functioning outwardly while privately struggling with exhaustion, emotional flatness, difficulty concentrating, social withdrawal, nervous system overload, and a growing sense of disconnection from themselves and others.

Drawing on research in neuroscience, attachment science, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation, Sylvia helps people understand the cognitive, emotional, and physiological effects of grief while offering grounded, practical tools to regain steadiness, presence, and a greater sense of agency.

Her approach integrates mindfulness practices, reflective inquiry, gentle movement, and nervous system education in a way that is compassionate, realistic, and deeply human.

Sylvia works particularly with adults navigating life after profound loss while continuing to carry responsibilities, careers, relationships, and family life. Her work is especially resonant for high-functioning individuals who appear to be coping from the outside while privately struggling with the invisible weight of grief.

Through her courses, writing, guided meditations, and one-to-one support, Sylvia aims to bring clarity and understanding to one of the most life altering human experiences.
